On Replay....

We should never allow the voice of the enemy surpass the voice of God! Now this song is not just 'On Replay' but its our 'Pick of the Week'. I intentionally picked this clip for 'You' to listen to the background story/miracle. Its not just a lovely song that takes you to the throne but the minister is also 'easy on the eyes' hehehehe lol! Be blessed as you listen...

Entrepreneur Minds...

I am thinking of starting a group for individuals who wish to start their own business in London within the next 1-2 years. It will be a focused group with set targets, mentorship , peer support and practical financial growth plans. Still on the drawing board but if you want to get involved, send me a message. Together we can!

I hate the folly exhibited by many on Instagram, but I picked this photo from one of the few sensible ones @ms. Yohannes. Exactly my thoughts for quite some time!

Entrepreneurship isn't for everyone, and not everyone is going to be an entrepreneur, but women who turn to business, turn to economics, because there are people depending on them, I think that their creativity, their resilience, their spirit, embody what's best about entrepreneurship-Gayle Tzemach Lemmon

Reality Check!

Few days ago, a client came into my office dressed in his track bottoms and running shoes. Now this man is 70 and was gearing up for the marathon which takes place this Sunday. From our conversation, He told me it was actually his third attempt at the marathon.

I am not up to half of this man's age and for sometime from the beginning of this year I have walked 5 miles daily and this has gradually reduced to about 3 miles daily  or rather 2.6miles. Now this walk is not really achievable everyday as its dependent on the weather etc. On the other hand, the marathon which this Septuagenarian is going to be part of is a complete 46Miles.

When I do my 5 mile walk,  I feel like I deserve all the trophies in the world. I tell everyone who cares to listen about my exercise routine and as for everyone who complements me on my looks I spare nothing at putting it out there that I do a 5 mile walk frequently. But this Sunday, a 70year old will be running the marathon!

We could very easily slip into blowing our own trumpets too loud, or feeling very cool with ourselves for what we do, own or know. The truth however is that there is always someone out there, who does it better, knows more, and has more. So when you think, you have hit the climax, just slow down because that climax is only in your head not in reality.

So today, push the limits, do it differently, learn from even the unusal  and dont get complacent with the regular because when we get complacent we stop learning, creativity becomes extinct and it all becomes quite boring. Today lets Live!

TIME....

Its amazing the amount of time this generation spends on social media, reality shows that are anything but real and just being preoccupied with things that don't profit. I have got parents that are both in their sixties and if you have a conversation with them, they are always thinking investments, expansions, acquisitions and it amazes me how they are continually bursting with ideas even at their ages.

Last week I sat down with this lady in her late 50s who never had formal education but she founded a start up IT company about  12 years ago from scratch which she later sold for $8 million dollars. She is so diversified and actually consults privately for different businesses. However when I have conversations with some younger individuals, the reverse is the case. I always wonder, this is a young person who should be filled with passion and bursting with ideas and ready to take on the world but No! Rather we are ready to take on the latest trends, personal development is at an all time low and what seems to interest  quite a large number of people is to watch other people play out false hood through media. There is a time for everything and you are responsible for your own development.....

Gods Word...

Its been a while since I read a hard copy bible. Everything seems to be Electronic. My phone is close by, my ipad is always by my side and I can easily go from one translation to another. But last week, I dug out one of my hard copy bibles, and I saw all the highlighted verses and they came alive as Rhema. And I have been reading it ever since and highlighting more verses. *Insight* *Bible study*

On Replay...

God indeed just knows how, when and just the exact RIGHT time to show up. I prayed for a miracle this week, and he honoured me and answered just at the nick of time, He showed up in a way I least expected. He made a way for not just me, but the next person coming after me. I am so blessed, and I am a blessing to this generation. I am indeed not alone *Thankful*

Choose Christ....

United christian broadcasters devotional( word for today) has played a major impact in my life as a christian and in my walk with God and work for God also. Yesterday's message has stayed with me and I just had to share it here. I pray we are gentle enough to heed the prompting of the spirit and make that wise decision to live for God and God alone!

No matter how many bad choices you may have made in the past, you can be redeemed by one good choice - the choice to surrender your life to Christ and follow Him. One author writes: ‘Ever wonder why there were two crosses next to Christ? Or why Jesus was in the center? Those two crosses symbolize one of God’s greatest gifts - the gift of choice. The two criminals have much in common: convicted by the same system, condemned to the same death, surrounded by the same crowd, and equally close to the same Christ. In fact, they began with the same sarcasm; each said cruel things to Jesus. But one of them changed. He said, “‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ Jesus answered him, ‘I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise’” (Luke 23:42-43 NIV 1984 Edition). We rejoice that this thief could change, but we dare not forget the one who didn’t. There are times when God sends thunder to scare us. There are times when God sends blessings to lure us. But there are times when God sends nothing but silence, as He honors us with the freedom to choose where we will spend eternity. We have never been given a greater privilege than that of choice. Think about the thief who repented. Though we know little about him, we know this: in the end, all his bad choices were redeemed by a solitary good choice. He chose Christ!’ And you can make that choice today too. ‘Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.’

Busy Wrists!

Vanity is something we are all born with, however moderation is key and self discipline is the prescription . Today however I am showing off what my wrists looked like, today and earlier this week. I purchased a nail bracelet last year, and a couple weeks ago I ended up getting 2 more, so I have got it in all shades. Rose gold, Silver & Gold. See how I have been flaunting it. You like? Pardon me this once to flaunt, I dont support narcissism but on this occasion let me give you something soft to wind up the weekend ):

Earlier Today! Silver Nail bracelet
Earlier This Week: Rose gold Nail bracelet
I cant seem to wear just a wrist watch right, like it must have accompaniments lol!

Scripture Board!

My Fridge has been turned into a vision board. I went from my bedroom to the fridge. Some days are a struggle, but come what may, I choose to immerse myself in Gods word! Yes! I want those scriptures there as a constant reminder. It would have been more than that, but avoiding a messy look

Addressing Fears

On the train to an interview earlier this week, I was reading Brian Houston's Live Love Lead & as got to the marked portion, it made me pause for a bit.  Unfortunately, you will have to read the  page before to get the full concept of what the marked portion is. To summarise, in life, there are processes that we go through that shape us for our destination.   During those times, sometimes, some difficult questions arise that we tend to shove under the carpet or pretend that it will magically disappear.

But you know what I have learned  the little time I have lived on earth? What you fail to address at the time of initial concern, especially if it comes up in your instincts every now and again, you will end up addressing at a later stage and this time it always gets more complicated and really unsettling. As I sat on the train, I asked myself, are you ready to embark on this journey on a daily basis? What is this journey going to feel like in the winter? I had to ask those questions because the problem people like myself who are born again make sometimes is that we try to cover the process of work/planning with faith and scriptures. But I say No! Sometimes you plan realistically, you address your concerns upfront and have a good understanding of the situation, so that you either come to terms with it or make alternative arrangements, and when you have done all you can, you can now believe God through faith for the best. I read a devotional this morning that made me smile, and it says"If you refuse to do your research properly, dont blame the test results"! End of!! May the 2nd half be much better than the 1st half of the year. Bless X
