I am no snooker fan, however I listened to the present champion who just won yesterday speak, and something he said struck me. Selby dedicated his win to his late father, who died when he was 16.
"To beat Ronnie in the final to win my first world title is a dream come true," he added: that his father died when he was 16 and was still trying out his passion for snooker, but before his father died, he promised him he was going to win the championship, and 14 years after, this dream has come true.
Lesson 1: Regardless of how long it takes, dont give up on your dream. The bible says, in Habbakuk 2 vs 3
"For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay"
Five-time
champion O'Sullivan, who Mark Selby played against and who had never lost a world final, reduced the deficit to
15-14, only for Selby to win the next three frames..
O'Sullivan
said: "I tried my hardest but he was just too good,"
Lesson 2 : Give it your best shot before considering giving up, listen to O' Sullivan's comment, "he was just too good". Now the question is how good have you tried to be?
Colin Powell says "A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work".

Have a great day people, and give today your best...... ellyeleanor
