ATTITUDE VS ALTITUDE

Your attitude during your tribulations determines your altitude thereafter.  Doing good/pursuing a just cause is never easy especially when the results are not in view. Little wonder Jesus encouraged His followers not to be weary of doing good, for in due course, they will reap the reward if they do not faint.(Gal 6:9)
From Gen chapter 37-41, we read the account of how Joseph had the revelation of greatness on several occassions, however the more he revealed the dream to his family, the more it stirred up hatred. That did not deter him however, he held on to his vision and believed that the One who revealed it to him, is able to bring it to pass. Do you have a dream/vision/plan to undertake any project/business/career/ministry? Who are you sharing this dream with? If you constantly share your dreams with pessimist then you can be sure to see nothing but gloom in your future. Show me your friends/people who inspire you, and I will show you to a large extent how far you will reach your destination.

WHEN ALL YOU SEE IS  THE REVERSE OF YOUR DREAMS
No matter how sure Joseph was of his dreams, there still came the test. Hehehe! If your not ready for the test, then your invariably not ready for the testimony. A man who believed in God, prayed to God and obeyed God, was now being sold into slavery. I dont recall that part of the dream you might say but that is where patience and all the virtues you have cultivated come into play and this is when your mettle is tested. If you only pray when your in TROUBLE, then your really in TROUBLE! If you have not developed yourself before the tribulation, its difficult to pass through the tribulations victoriously. Because in tribulations, the core of your being is brought to light. You dont learn lessons during tribulations, lessons are learnt after tribulations.
It only takes a man who has disciplined himself tenaciously to turn down the sultry advances of one of the most important women of the times, known as Potiphars wife.This is because he was thinking longterm and not quick fix procedures.

DOING THE RIGHT THING DOSENT ALWAYS GIVE THE RIGHT RESULT
However doing the right thing dosent always mean getting the right result, Yes! Sometimes it even takes you to prison. Does that however mean we stop doing what is right?? NO. Keep sowing the right seed, the harvest is on its way. Always remember that your attitude however will surely determine your altitude.
Tell me about having the right attitude while doing a low paying job, where your efforts are not being appreciated? Yes I ve been there as a postgraduate student in the UK, I did jobs I will never imagine doing, I not only did these jobs, but I did them well and guess what the promotion always came from places I never imagined.
Tell me about unemployment/been made redundant, I have been there and guess what? For every job I lost I got a better job, in places I could never imagine amongst people I never imagined. Promotion is sure when we have the right attitude and we serve the Almighty God.

GET OVER IT, BEING NICE TO PEOPLE DOSENT MEAN THEY WILL REPAY YOU WITH THE SAME COIN!
A statement I sometimes use as well as you is "After all I have done for her/him/them". We say these words over and over again and yet fail to learn the lessons. Joseph interpreted the dreams of the cup bearer and the baker and yes when the cup bearer was restored to his position, he forgot all about Joseph. Yes! "The arm of flesh will surely fail" because promotion comes from God and not man. Ant the more you depend on people to help you, the more you will live in strife.

In all, have the right attitude during the tribulation  because you never know victory might just be a step away. Remember no situation is forever, it cant rain for ever, the austerity measures wont be forever at least not in every life and you can choose to be among the few, that come out successfully.
And when you succeed, you will be celebrated because success has many FRIENDS but failure is an ORPHAN.
